Gents:
You got a classic car or bike, this is one to consider going to weather permitting on the drive ride side. My bike won’t be ready for the road until May 1 when the insurance goes back on. But I’ll be there around 11 AM as there’s about 25 cooks which will be doing their thing inside the club. There’ll be tasting for peoples choice plus judging under sanctioning by the Internat’l. Chili Society guide lines. Your donation and any 50/50 purchases benefits the Michigan Veteran’s Foundation. I’ve talked to the coordinator, Gary Ray who is a post member and has a ‘60s vintage Mustang. This might be the first year holding the event at the Post. Gary also told me that the car show there starts the first Tuesday.
Anyway, I’m a chili hound and this is a good time to start shaking off the winter blahs and maybe get your classic bike/car there anyway. I’ll be there with the usual gar for an outside break if anyone wants to join me. For the Monday night gang, Gregg, please pass this on. MTR webmaster, could you please post this and/or send out an email blast to the list on this Friday as a reminder?
BTW: The Plymouth Post’s first car show is Wednesday, May 11, per club manager, Gary. Also, I’m waiting for the Rousch folks in Livonia to send me the email about the usual early May open house over on Market St. There’s often a small car show on the street, engine building, open tours of their car collection and prize drawings. Some MTR folks have ridden to that in the past. It’s usually in the mid to late afternoon on a Thursday.
That is all from ON THE STREET REPORTING.
